Question on Document Understanding - Extraction not working for multi-dashed string values

I’m having issues with Document Understanding related to the following multi-dash value withn PDFs:

The image is showing how Document Understanding is reading that multi-dash string value. It should be extracting it as “-----2-” and not just a “2”. I have the column field defined as a “String”. I was hoping recent updates to DU overall would overcome this issue. Sadly not. Still having this issue with this type of value. The dashes are rather important. Each dash represents a day of the week. That “2” means a quantity of 2 on Saturday.

Has anyone hit something like this and dealt with it giving the whole dashed string within DU ?

While training did you hppen to indicate the dashes as well?

Also in taxonomy you can define some charqcters for few values
