Publish a package to orchestator - Error 405

Hello everyone.
I find myself doing the lesson
Provision an Unattended Robot to Orchestrator from the “Orchestrator Overview for Automation Developers” Course and I can’t move forward since
I can’t find a way to publish the package to the orchestrator. I spent hours reading everywhere what the problem could be but I couldn’t overcome it. Could you help me?

that is the error:

things that caught my attention during publish proccess and that I couldn’t solve:
A) Only “custom” option is available…
B) I put in the “API Key” field the client ID of the machine created in the orchestrator, I don’t know if it is correct, from what I was reading on the forums, apparently it is Api key. One that is obtained from the Admin tab, but in my case I have not found it.

Hi @Matias_Clemente.Arg

Check out this thread. It will help you.

As per my knowledge you need to give API key when you publish a package in Custom.

Hope it helps!!

Hello, thanks for your answer, but I have already read it.
some things, I couldn’t follow that thread since
a) I cannot publish locally because only the “custom” option appears in the publication properties.
b) I can’t find where to get the API KEY

Hi @Matias_Clemente.Arg
When you publish a process you will have three options
→ Orchestrator Tenant Process Feed
→ Orchestrator Personal Workspace Feed
→ Custom

  1. The package will get published to your tenant
  2. The package will get publish to your personal workspace folder
  3. Custom means you are downloading the .nupkg file to your local machine and after that you can add that .nupkg package from your orchestrator.

May be below documentation will give you more idea as I have given the basic idea of what are those three

Regards

The problem with that you can only select ‘custom’ is because your studio is not succesfully connected to orchestrator.

In order to help you, i have some questions:

Q0: Did you setup your Orchestrator tenant and added the licenses to it?
Q1: Did you created a modern folder?
Q2: Did you setup your machine and added a license to it? or did you use the login method?
Q3: after adding the machine did you provision the machine to the folder?
Q4: and last step, did you manage to connect the UiPath assistant succesfully to orchestrator.

There might are some extra steps needed to connect it, but i need to know what you have done so far.
What version of UiPath studio are you running?

@Matias_Clemente.Arg

Looks like your studio connection to orchestrator is not happened…can you open assistant and aign in properly

Also is publisher role assigned to user ?

Tenant → Manage access-> edit users-> add publisher role

Cheers

An edit on myself.
@Matias_Clemente.Arg i have created this 2 years ago, but it should give you some insight on how to fix it. Change the ‘classic folder’ to modern folder.
You can add a robot this way, but also your studio.

Thank you all for your responses. The options you are giving me are somewhat general; it will take me some time to try them out and report back on how it went. I will be responding as I go along.

The assistant appears as if it were connected

“Is there any problem with these data that I’m copying being visible?”

“Before starting this question, I was doing many tests. Since I couldn’t manage to publish it, I deleted all the users and all the machines I had created, and also deleted the folders. Perhaps I deleted something extra, and now I can’t publish it. However, I checked the Publisher role, and apparently, it’s assigned. I’ll paste a screenshot.”

Another thing, last week I was able to publish a process, but I couldn’t execute it. This means it’s possible to do so, but I must have changed something that now prevents it.

@jvanmarion

A0: how could I check it?
A1: Yes
A3: Yes
A4: I guess so. I have pasted screenshots showing that the Assistant appears as connected.

Licensing:
I have found this; apparently, the license is not correctly assigned, but I can’t find where to assign it

@Matias_Clemente.Arg

You need to edit user and selector automation developer under same manage access

Edit the machine and check what license is given on second pge

Cheers

@Matias_Clemente.Arg

This is for machine…

Similarly fo to manage access and click on user and give robot role there

Cheers

Same Error.
I don’t know if I did what you were asking me to do. Assign the “Robot” role to both users

@Matias_Clemente.Arg

Just to confirm please follow below steps

  1. Tenant-> manage access → create role → select processes,libraries,machines and pckages full read write
    2 assign the above created one to the user you need in same manage access menu
  2. Disconnect assistant and reconnect it

Cheers

hi, When I create the new role, it offers me 2 options:

A) New Tenant Role: It does not have the “processes” characteristic.

B) Folder Role: only have the “processes” characteristic

I created the Tenant role but I still have the same error

I send a DM to Matias to check if this would solve the issue. It did.

I think there is the confusion between connecting a UiPath Robot and Studio.
Just let me know.

Solution:

Disconnect from the assistant.
Then use the ServiceUrl to reconnect again.
your url should look something like this: UiPath Orchestrator

Login with emailaddress (with the one you login to cloud.uipath.com). Confirm the popup to open UiPath.

You should now be connected again to orchestrator.

Now open UiPath Studio
Make sure to select the correct folder in the bottom.
This should solve your problem with publishing to orchestrator.

@Matias_Clemente.Arg you can set this as solution if you want.

Thank you all for the answers. I think there was some point I was missing. But we were able to move forward.
