Project loading issues

Hi, I am getting message saying "we’re loading your project. In the meantime, you can use it in read-only mode.

Please assist

Another user or another browser session of your own account has the project open in edit mode. Please check active sessions.

Try these fixes once:

  1. Refresh/reopen the project.
  2. Check your internet connection and UiPath cloud connectivity.
  3. Ensure the project files are not locked by another user or process.
  4. Clear Studio cache and sign in again.
  5. Verify you have edit permissions for the project.
  6. If using source control (Git/TFS), make sure the workspace is properly connected and synchronized.
  7. Restart UiPath Studio and, if needed, your machine.

It’s just a message while loading your project fully for editing. Wait a while and it should be gone.

Is it on the Studio Web?

If it’s got stuck on the same message, try clearing your browser cache.

I’ve run into this exact message a few times. Usually, it’s just a temporary loading delay where Studio is still syncing everything in the background,
so waiting a minute or two usually makes it go away on its own.

do This

  1. Check for duplicate tabs or sessions: Make sure you don’t have the same project open in another browser tab or on another machine.
    If another session has edit mode active, it locks you out.
  2. Hard refresh or clear cache: If you’re on Studio Web,
    a quick browser cache clear or hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) usually forces it to reload properly.
  3. Reopen Studio: If you’re using desktop Studio, closing the app completely,
    signing out and back into your UiPath account, or restarting the project usually clears up any stuck file locks.

Please try closing and reopening Studio, then check whether the project finishes loading. If the issue persists, check your internet connection and whether any package dependencies are still loading. Also, try opening the project again after restarting Studio.

Could you share your Studio version and whether this happens with all projects or just one?

@Malarkodi_Malarkodi it just a message that comes on the studio web when you open your project, and after a few seconds or within a minute, it will disappear.

Thanks all for your information, it really helped.For me it displayed when we do refresh frequently or if any other session is open in another tab.
So we might need to wait till the validation are in progress to minimise this issue.

Thanks for sharing the update! Glad you found the possible cause. Yes, waiting for the project validation to complete and avoiding frequent refreshes can help prevent this issue. Also, make sure the same project isn’t open in edit mode in another session.
