Picture in picture “StartProcessInSession timed out”

Hello everyone,
I am developing in a virtual machine and trying to start the process using pip. When I saw that the pip window was already open and I entered my Windows password, but when I tried to enter the computer desktop, I received an error message saying “Could not start executor. StartProcessInSession timed out.”

Can everyone help me find a solution? Thank you very much!

Hi I would recommend to try with these troubleshooting steps Check the robot’s connection to Orchestrator. In Orchestrator, go to Robots> Your Robot > General and make sure that the Is Connectedcheckbox is checked. Check the robot’s permissions to run in PIP mode. Sorry, I didn’t find any page related to PIP settings in OC, but I confirm that I have opened the relevant settings for PIP in Studio

My robot is still in the development stage and has not been released to OC yet. I am not sure if the reason for the failure is due to a setting limitation in the virtual machine

Hi @Teofilo_Tamele , In order to run PiP on the machine you will need administrative rights. Open a PowerShell with admin rights and navigate to the UiPath Studio installation folder. From there you can run .\UiRobot.exe PiP --enable. This command will enable PiP on your machine. Please let us know if you managed to do this and resolve the problem, Andrei
