No headers in Excel for an empty DataTable

Not sure if I should create my own post for this, but this was the first result on google.

When using the (new) Write Range activity with an empty datatable (with headers) it does not add the headers to the xlsx file.

Seems to be an issue since forever: Write range excel activity doesn't add headers of a Blank Datatable - #3 by Palaniyappan

My Excel.Activities version is 2.10.4

I created a new topic from your post and pushed the info to our internal tracker. To be honest I’m not sure if it’s a bug but better to check that :slight_smile:

Hi @Pablito, was there ever a resolution to this? I am experiencing the same issue, I cannot get an empty data table to write headers to excel even with Add Headers selected.

We classified it as a bug and it should be fixed in one of the future updates.
