Migration Tool Troubleshooting. Error 401

How to get rid of the 401 error in the Migration Tool?

Issue Description: When connecting to Automation cloud, error #401 appears. Authentication Failed, please verify external application configuration.

Root Cause: Typo in the External Application configuration.


  1. Double check in the external application configuration that the Redirect URL is the following:

Note: be sure to check the "/" after auth.

  1. Also, if the login to Automation Cloud Window does not pop up, log out of Automation Cloud. Run the tool again and login directly from the Window that the tool opens, after that the following message is obtained:
