Make a text hyperlink in word

Hi,

Im trying to convert a text to hyperlink in word, such that when that word is clicked, it takes me to a website. For instance if i have “google” as a text, i’d like it to be a hyperlink such that when its clicked it takes me to “www.google.com”. How can i achieve this?

You can achieve this by following shortcut method -

  1. Select the word (which can be done via shift and left/right arrow keys combination)
  2. press ctrl + k
  3. Type in the hyperlink url in popup window and close it.

I’m writing to a word document and want to do it without opening the document. Is this possible?
