Keep enviroments settings in a config file (JSON)

Best Practices says to “Keep environments settings in a config file (JSON is recommended)” but where can I read about this feature?

I am about to do a login to a website and would like to store the URL, username and password in a seperate file, where it is easy for the user to change it, but is that in config file or do I create a csv/EXcel or TEXT file for it?

If you have orchestrator you can use Assets
