Issue Retrieving Capabilities from Server in ML Extractor Trainer activity on UiPath

Hello everyone,

I’m encountering an issue with the ML Extractor Trainer activity in UiPath Studio. When trying to configure the extractor, I’m unable to retrieve the model’s capabilities. Here are the details:

  • The model is deployed and works perfectly with the ML Extractor activity (I can configure the extractor, get the capabilities and map the fields in my taxonomy with my ML model schema without issues).
  • However, when using the ML Extractor Trainer activity and clicking on the configure the extractors, I want to click on the setting wheel to then click on “Get Capabilities” button as i did for the ML extractor, but it doesn’t work. The the pop-up just does’nt appear and I spent hours on this issue and I wasn’t able to find the solution… It worked ealier (about one or two weeks ago in the same project but on another ML extractor with another AI Center model but it’s not working anymore).

Things I’ve tried:

  • Verified the endpoint and API key are correct and working.
  • Checked that the model is deployed and the ML Skill is active (the activity recognizes the project and the dataset)
  • Cleared the cache and reinstalled the necessary UiPath packages.

Has anyone encountered this issue before, or does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this?

Could you also show us the configuration done in the Data Extraction Scope activity ?

Of course, here is a screenshot of my ML extractor activity (right) as well as its configurations (left), we can see the dropdown now due to the mapping after the “get capabilities” so we can see that I can click on the config wheel and the pop up opens (bottom right) and I have the get capabilities option.

FYI, I tried to create another project to test if it was a problem of my project or a software issue and it didn’t work on the new project either. I just added in the main sequence a train extractors scope and a ML extractor trainer just to try, and the wheel for the trainer didn’t work either.

I found the issue. It’s the version of the package. I needed to try a more stable version :+1:t4:
