I am currently looking into Insights as a reporting tool compared with our current Elasticsearch databases and Kibana dashboards.
Once challenge that has been raised is we are able to utilise Elasticsearch for multiple data inputs i.e. different applications and technologies. Is this possible with Insights? Are we able to input data from other applications?
On another note is Insights built on Sisense?
Hi @ryannoir if you add this external data through logs, you can bring it into Insights. As of right now, we are not supporting directly importing the data otherwise.
Some parts of Insights have Sisense dependencies, yes. However we’ve used it in a nontraditional way so I would not recommend referencing their docs and assuming it applies to Insights.
