Not sure why I’m getting this error?
I have Excel in activities but does it need to be installed somewhere else?

Try the following below steps it might help you.
Open the excel application , click ;
File
Options
Add-ins
Click the drop-down options next to “manage:” and select “COM Add-ins”, then click “GO”
Untick/deselect “UiPath.Intergration.ExcelAddin”, click “OK”, close excel and run the bot again.

I don’t see the “file” option anywhere on UiPath?
In the screenshot it’s only showing file next to windows 11. I’ve been trying to go by what you said but I’m kind of lost lol
Do I need to install Excel add-in here also? (See pic)
I’ve already installed the “UiPath.Excel.Activities
Wasn’t sure if I needed to install the add-in also.

- First do you have excel or microsoft office installed on the VM?
- For excel activities to work we need to install excel…if you want to read or write without excel…then please use workbook activities which dont need excel to be installed

Yes I have the Microsoft office installed on my Mac, is that not sufficient to be able to use it on Parallels desktop when using UiPath on windows 11 ?
Idont think so that would be enough…can you try opening one excel on parallel windows and check…

I couldn’t find Excel on windows 11 and tried to open it on my Mac but it wouldn’t open on windows so I’m installing the Microsoft 365 office on windows 11 even though I have it on my Mac.
Hopefully that will solve my Excel error, just waiting for it to download😊

After I installed it I clicked “Run” and it worked🥳 yay!
