How To Modify The Polling Interval For Integration Service Triggers?

How to modify the polling interval for Integration Service Triggers?

Issue Description: When a new connection is created and a trigger is setup for the connection, why does it take between 1 to 5 minutes for the job to be triggered after the event occurs?

Resolution:

When a new connection is created and a trigger is setup for that connection, the polling interval is set to 5 minutes by default.

This value can be customized using the Adjustable Polling Interval feature. This feature allows users to choose the interval on which event triggers check for new object events.

The polling interval can be changed in two ways:

  1. From a specific connector’s page
  2. From the Connections tab.

Prerequisites: The polling interval is displayed only for connections with added triggers.

Note: Only one polling interval per connection is permissible, even though the connection could have multiple triggers. Updating the polling interval affects all the associated triggers on a connection.

Configuring the Polling Interval from the specific Connector's page

  1. Login to Automation Cloud > Navigate to Integration Service > Navigate to Connectors page > Select the Connector (In this case, Microsoft Office 365) image.png
  2. The page showing all the connections for the connector is loaded. Click on the connection to open the details page.
  3. For connections with Triggers configured, the polling interval will be displayed under the connection name.
  1. Click on the interval. The window to update the Polling interval will be displayed.
  1. Set the polling interval to one of the provided values or a custom value. The 'Update and Check' button will be enabled.
  1. Click on 'Update and Check'. The Polling Interval will be updated.
