How to connect with an Oracle data base?

hi, the example didnt help to connect with the data base. It will be very helpful, if you write or suggest a template for the String of connection. i tried with following String but it didn’t work.
Data Source=(DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = localhost)(PORT = 1521)) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = Oracle)(SID= OracleDatabaseTest)));User Id=SYSTEM;Password=password;

the oracle data base 12c is installed on my laptop. It isnt a cloud data base.
