How Get Text Activity Works?

Hi guys,
I have been using uipath technology for 1 year in RPA projects. I am also very curious about how uipath does this in the background.

I use get text activity a lot and wonder how this activity gets the text value in the object from the operating system in the background. Is there anyone here who can explain this mechanism to me?

Hi, to.explain you easily, get text activity works like get attribute
You might have know , get attribute activity
Get text activity searches for the ‘value’ attribute of that element and brings that into the variable

I think it scans the elements of the window and gets the text you want, pretty much :slight_smile:
