Hide Excel Row Based on Cell Ref Name?

Hi all

I need to hide certain rows that haven’t been filled out across multiple worksheets - so the actual location of these rows is not the same across the sheets. I currently use named ranges to fill out the worksheets, but in order to hide the unused rows I need to know the row number. Does anyone know how to get the row number from an Excel named-range at all? So if I have filled out the ranges “labour1”, labour2", “labour3”, I can then hide the unused rows for the ranges “labour4” and “labour5” ?

Hi @adam.williamson,

Here is an activity to Hide and Unhide rows.

Unfortunately I don’t think that will work as I don’t know what the actual row number is.

For example, in one workbook the cell ref “labour1” might refer to cell A5, but in another workbook the same ref might refer to cell B32. I have the workflow process multiple excel files where the same info needs to be put (hence using named references rather than the actual cell letter/number reference). I need a way though to be able to hide any of the rows from the references I didn’t use…

Yes. It is possible . It is an activity called “Find” that I have attached it below. Using this activity you find the cell info. Based on that you can hide it.
