Help me in resolving Data Column expression

This is the data column expression i am using
IIf(“‘Include (Y/N)’”=“‘YES’” And “Copy GL Type”=“‘Liability’”, “‘no’”,“‘Include (Y/N)’”)
Here Include (Y/N) and Copy GL Type are column names. my requirement is if Include (Y/N)'“=”‘YES’" And “Copy GL Type”="‘Liability’ then update a particular column value as no else the same column value. while using the above expression error is throwing " cannot convert from system.object to system.string.
could anybody help me on solving this.

can u screenshot ur current code? seems like we’re missing parts of the code.

As per error the column type you have for a column is object but trying to assign string

Data Column Expression Syntax should more be like

"IIf([Include (Y/N)]='YES' And [Copy GL Type]='Liability', 'no','Include (Y/N)')"

  • with a simple prototype we had demonstrated the fixing suggestions

Maybe some misinterpretation of

needs some adaptions

If the column value is needed not the fixed string we just modify to:

"IIf([Include (Y/N)]='YES' And [Copy GL Type]='Liability', 'no',[Include (Y/N)])"

In general the case looks like solved as the main syntax corrections were shown. So the topic could be closed by marking the solving post as solution
