How to confirm which group policies are being applied to the machine?

Using the below steps, it is possible to confirm which group policies are being applied to the machine. This can be used in scenarios where it is suspected that a policy is affecting a process.

  1. Log on machine using Administrator.
  2. Open CMD (run as Administrator).
  3. Type gpresult /z > gpresult-z.txt and click Enter.
  4. Open gpresult-z.txt and check which Group Policies are applied to the machine.
