Get Imap Mail message failed

Hello everyone,

We changed our email program from Notes to Outlook.

Now when I start Get Imap Mail Message I get the following error message.

What could be the reason?

Many thanks in advance.

@Prisemuetchen

If outlook you can use outlook or office365 activities as well

Also this error is seen when moving but not in get…so should be something missing…can you check the locals panel with exception details

Cheers

@Prisemuetchen

  • Drag and drop the Get Outlook Mail Messages activity into your workflow.
  • In the properties pane, configure the following:
  • MailFolder: The folder you want to retrieve emails from (e.g., “Inbox”).
  • Account: The Outlook account to use (leave it blank to use the default Outlook profile).
  • Top: The number of emails to retrieve.
  • MarkAsRead: Whether to mark the retrieved emails as read
    *properties- MailFolder: “Inbox”
    Top: 10

Hi @Prisemuetchen

Check Folder Permissions:

  • Ensure that the email account has the necessary permissions to read and write to the specified folder.
  • Verify that the folder you are trying to access is not set to read-only mode.

IMAP Server Settings:

  • Double-check the IMAP server settings in UiPath to ensure they are correct.
  • Verify that the server address, port number, and SSL settings are properly configured.

Access a Different Folder:

  • Try accessing a different folder (e.g., Inbox) to see if the issue persists.
  • If you can access other folders, the problem might be specific to the folder you initially tried to access.

Use Read-Only Mode:

  • If you only need to read the emails and not modify them, try accessing the folder in read-only mode.
  • This can sometimes bypass the issue.

Hie @Prisemuetchen if you are shifiting towards outlook then instead of imap activity use outlook activity .
also this error is happen because you don’t have the permission or the admin had blocked the access . aur might be you don’t pass the correct IMAP configuration…
cheers happy Automation :grinning:
