Failed to Invite User(s): {email} Server Side Error: The SMTP server has unexpectedly disconnected... Please try again later

Issue description:

Failed to Invite User(s): {email}
Server Side Error: The SMTP server has unexpectedly disconnected... Please try again later

Resolution:

This error usually occurs when an org has enabled "Use custom mail settings" in their SMTP Options and that the Custom configuration was not configured correctly or if the SMTP server used has disconnected.

To resolve you can do either of the following:

1) You can use the Default Mail Settings by going to Admin > Mail Settings > Use Default Mail Settings

2) If you want to use a different email server, please ensure that the SMTP server is reachable, public-facing, and that the configuration is correct according to the desired SMTP server.
