I’m thrilled to share some insights into the latest 2024.10 release of the UiPath Business Automation Platform. This release is packed with new features and enhancements. We promise that these updates will elevate our automation capabilities to new heights. Let’s dive into some of the key updates:

SAP Solex Integration: This exciting development integrates the UiPath Platform with SAP Build Process Automation. The Solution Extension (Solex) significantly enhances our enterprise automation capabilities. This is a big step forward for those of us who work in environments that rely heavily on SAP systems.

Automation Suite Improvements: The suite has received several updates:

A new Document Understanding experience that simplifies interactions.

Active/active configuration deployment for better reliability.

Service alerts to keep you informed about system health.

A Lite Mode option to lower entry barriers for new users.

OpenShift Deployment: You can now deploy the Automation Suite on a customer-managed OpenShift container platform. This giga-requested offering provides more flexibility and control over your automation environment.

Autopilot™ for Everyone: This AI companion is now integrated with Microsoft 365 and Teams. It’s easier than ever to automate daily tasks right from your familiar workspace!

Healing Agent (in preview): includes a set of AI-powered experiences across UiPath Robots, Orchestrator, and Studio to reduce automation downtime and enhance efficiency. It provides:

Intelligent self-healing for UI-based automations: whenever there is a change in the application interface, Autopilot repairs the issue to allow the automation to continue uninterruptedly.

Actionable recommendations: Autopilot intelligently analyses the application interfaces and provides actionable suggestions on how to fix issues, without the need to troubleshoot or debug further.

Semantic Activities: our new AI-driven form handling activities allow you to automatically generate actions and identify targets using contextual information and semantic descriptions—without needing to use selectors. These activities include: ‘Extract Form Data’ (for data extraction), ‘Fill Form’ and ‘Set Value’ (for data pasting). Semantic activities are available in Studio and Studio Web for both Windows and cross-platform projects.
Special release offer: semantic activities are available free of charge for all UiPath users until Apr 25, 2025 -
AI Trust Layer: The introduction of Context Grounding for GenAI predictions ensures HIPPA compliance. This improves the security and reliability of your automations.
