Execute non query is not working, if the updating data has more than 256 characters length

Oledb update query is not working when the updating data has more than 256 characters. It is throwing error like
The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data.

How can we insert text to excel, which is more than 256 characters lenght.
