Excel Application Scope Ignores Visible

I’m trying to use Excel Application Scope to read an .xlsx workbook. UIPath Studio is installed on a Windows Server 2019 server. Excel is NOT installed. I uncheck “visible” however, I still get the error:

“Excel Application Scope: Error opening workbook. Make sure Excel is installed.”

How do I get UIPath to honor the unchecked “visible” option?

You cannot use the Excel Application Scope or any activities under Excel if it is not installed. You can, however, use the Excel activities under the System folder, such as Read Range, Write Range, etc.
