Every time I try to open Studio it switches to StudioX

Hello,
it started this week and every time I close Studio, it opens as StudioX. It’s annoying because I have to sign out to change back to Studio. Is there a setting that opens Studio as default?
I use Studio 2023.10.3 Enterprise License

Hello Developer,

I have attached images for your reference.

Click on Settings → License and Profile → Click on change Profile

Then select STUDIO

Hi,
I have to do this every time after I close Studio. I know where to change this, but I don’t know how to set Studio to open as default.
Also there was no problem until this week, I always used Studio.

Hi,

If you want to reset UiPath Studio to its default settings, you can follow these steps:

  1. Close UiPath Studio if it’s currently open.
  2. Navigate to the UiPath Studio installation directory on your computer. By default, it’s usually located in C:\Program Files (x86)\UiPath for the Community Edition.
  3. Inside the UiPath Studio installation directory, you should find a folder named UiPath. Rename this folder to something else, such as UiPath_Backup.
  4. Now, when you restart UiPath Studio, it will recreate the UiPath folder with default settings.
  5. Your previous settings and configurations will be stored in the renamed folder (UiPath_Backup). If you want to revert to your old settings, you can simply delete the newly created UiPath folder and rename the backup folder back to UiPath

Thanks for suggestion, but maybe there’s something different for Enterprise Edition? Because I couldn’t launch Studio after renaming that folder. I’m getting errors that UiPath services are not running. After renaming back that folder, StudioX started.

Hello

Could you please try uninstalling Ui-Path and again install it.

Also let me know it works or not!

Hello, reinstalled Studio, but still the same: after closing Studio, next time I’m opening something it opens in StudioX.

I think I found the solution! Added -p Development to the target of Studio shortcut and now it starts as Studio again.
