Error When Using Creating a DU Generative Extraction Validation Task - Cross Platform

Hi everyone,

there seems to be a new bug with the Cross Platform DU activities (The windows compatibility ‘classic’ activities still work fine. Its specifically when using a Generative Extractor and its very weird.

It does the extraction just fine but when creating the validation task in the action center I now get an error, which I didnt get before indicating an issue with my prompt, now my prompt is not less than 3 or higher than 1000, so I’m not sure why it thinks it is and is complaining.

I have tested on multiple prompt and on ones that were working last week so something seems to have changed in the Orchestrator side.
I also tested on multiple Orchestrators / Organizations.

I was hoping some others in the community could validate this issue before I report it?
To re-iterate. This is using the Cross Platform activities (UiPath.DocumentUnderstanding.Activities) and NOT the Windows ones from UiPath.DocumentUnderstanding.ML.Activities so please don’t get them muddled, the Windows ones are still working so aren’t relevant.

@Jon_Smith thanks for raising this! Would you mind sharing the document and prompts used with me? So I try to reproduce and then raise the issue you’re facing :slight_smile:

@Monica_Secelean what are you doing posting so late? I hope you are in the US timezone on business.

I got the exact same code I used to generate this bug, and its working again, so looks like it was an issue that was either intermittment and giving an incorrect error code or your team fixed it quietly after a few days.

Cross platform activities are not compatible. you can check the link Document Understanding - Choosing the project type for project compatibility matrix.

That is wrong. There are cross platform activities for DU and for making the validation task.
