Hi @Sonalk,

I hope the above link will help you!

Thanks for sharing the link.

Does it mean, assign ‘Automation User’ for developer license?

Robot roles —> Applicable for Unattended Production license

Hi!

Automation user:

who creates the tenant will named as admin. and if you wants to give the access to the other users you can give them access by using the Automation user.

Robot Roles

You can give access to the folders and administration roles as well. means the user can be modify the roles of robots as well. in attended mode or unattended mode. and roles between the folders.

Thanks for sharing details. Could you review and confirm further.

  1. Do I have to assign ‘Automation User’ role to robot accounts (unattended) in modern folders?

  2. Robot is applicable for Classic folders and Automation user is for modern folders.

Link for reference : Default roles

Hi! @Sonalk ,

follow the below steps

1.Tenant->Manage Access->Select your account->Edit->Robot Setup->Run Foreground automation

provide the following

Then click on save.

Yes. but you need to reassign the robot to an specific folder. Then only you can use the robot for specific folders.

Hi @Sonalk ,

Wanted to share my knowledge on roles you are talking about in orchestrator.

Usually any role in the orchestrator comes with the default access to some of the components (users, license, folders, assets etc.) if we want we can assign some more based on our requirements.

If you are admin you can modify or add additional access to any of the role and you can create custom role if you want.

Coming to your question automation user role is related to developer who are working for automation basically you are e right we have to assign developer license to this role.

Robot role is for the robots who are used for in attended automation. So we usually assign un attended license to them.

In classic folder if you assign any robot it will be fixed to that folder it cannot work for some other folder.

But modern folders have different mechanism if we can assign machine template instead of robot the bots will work across folders via automatic allocation and de allocation based on the availability.

Please review the uipath documentation related to roles and modern folders etc for further guidance. Thanks.
