Can't open old Studio projects in new version (2018.3.1)

I’m having issues in the new version (2018.3.1). The first is that when I try to open a UiPath Studio project (.xaml), the program crashes (it seems to get hung up on the “Adding Dependencies” step).

The second issue is that when I try to create a blank project, Studio also crashes. I’ve uninstalled the older version of UiPath Studio in order to eliminate any cross-version issues.

I’m on Windows 7 Enterprise edition, and UiPath Studio (Community Edition) 2018.3.1.
