Cannot read a date range from a calendar

Hi there
im hoping someone can help me.
Im trying to select a date range in a web calendar (from and to date), but for some reason my program does not recognise the date as a string and sees it as a picture and then it wants me to anchor the data.
Does anyone have a sample of how to pick a date range from 1 calendar. The date range will also always be different, depending on what the requirement is

Thank you Ashwin, let me try this, does it mean that if my date range is 01/07/2019 - 07/07/2019 and the date that i want to pick is the 03/07/2019 then i can set my attribute to be the 3rd july?
