I’m currently stuck with the Jira Activity “Create Issue” (UiPath.Jira.Activities v2.1.3). In our Jira our labels field is mandatory. Unfortunately it is not possible to pass labels successfully through Additional Fields property. I am receiving the following error:
Message: Response Status Code: 400. Response Content: {“errorMessages”:,“errors”:{“labels is required.”}}
I tried to pass labels as array, list, issuelabelcollection, arraylist and everything else I could think of. No success yet. I tried on many different Jira instances and it is always the same error. Has anyone ever experienced that?
I don’t know about the activity, as we have on-prem Jira, and it only works with Cloud as I recall. However, we use the following in our API call for labels.
“labels”: [“Job_failure”]
I would try to pass in [“Job_failure”] where Job_failure is your label.
thanks for your reply. The activities also work for on-prem Jira. They are a great help and way less complicated than custom API calls. You can just use basic authentication or OAuth2 instead of the API Token.
Thanks for the input. I manage to set the labels via API call, that was no challenge. I would’ve loved to use the “Create Issue” activity though
do you have a suggestion how I could solve my issue with passing “labels” as argument in “Create Issue”? I also tried passing it as JArray in addition to everything stated above. Still the same result. Thank you very much in advance for your help!
thanks a lot for your quick response. My misunderstanding, I somehow thought that you were an essential part in creating these activities. Is there someone who could help me with the Jira Activities Package since I cannot look into the source code?
Thanks for your help. The workaround with a raw REST API call works fine for me and it’s also what I’m using currently. Nevertheless I would’ve loved to use the native JIRA Activities for this use case.
