This new 2023.10 learning plan is 84h 45m compared to the previous 2022.10 learning plan, which is 37h 20m. Is the calculation for this course wrong, or is the training required for the Automation Developer Professional Certification offered post 10/21/2024 (when the 2023.10 became the one the certification exam is based off of) really more than twice the content? This seems like an error and I can’t get UiPath to weigh in on this.

Not only that, but if you dig into the 2023.10 training, its section times don’t even add up to 84h 45m, they add up to 82h 25m:

Automation Explorer (v2023.10)
10h 30m
Automation Developer Associate Training (v2023.10)
32h 15m
Automation Developer Professional Training (v2023.10)
40h 40m

@UiPath_Community could we please get 100% clarification on what parts of this learning plan would prepare one for this certification exam?

@reallyocean,

In my opinion the total amount of time the learning plan going to take doesn’t matter. We should be focusing on learning everything in the plan with practice tests in between.

I recently completed Solution Architect learning plan which was of around 102 hours but took me at least 200 hours.

The plan is designed to cover everything required for the certification readiness so full course will be required.

My point about the amount of time wasn’t because I didn’t want to put in the time for required training, it was because of the inconsistencies in the calculated times between the 2022.10 and 2023.10 learning plans, causing me to be unsure what was required training. They had relatively the same amount of material if you dug into them (80 hours), but when viewing them in from the Certifications page and Academy pages one was reflecting 80+ hours while the other was 37 hours. Time is important to all of us, and spending an extra 40+ hours on potentially unnecessary training is unacceptable if it’s a calculation error.

UiPath got back to me this morning with this:

Hi Justin,

I hope you’re doing well.

After checking with our concerned team, we have been advised to complete all modules in the Automation Developer Professional Training 2023.10.

You can access the 2023.10 version using this link: Automation Developer Professional Training v2023.10.

Regarding the course duration, we have informed our team to update it for the 2022.10 version.

If you have any additional information or questions in the meantime, please feel free to share them with us.

So for those who are attempting the UiPath Certified Professional Automation Developer Professional Certification, it is advised you complete the full 84 hour learning plan titled Automation Developer Professional Training (v2023.10).
