Am I missing something?

I watched the video and read the page, the step by step and the what you will need section but where is the training? After looking for 10 minutes I finally downloaded the solution thinking it would have step by step instructions but nothing just a zip file solution.

So I opened that and have no idea how anyone would know to create this based on the webpage and Step 1 through 5.

Are there any instructions or tutorials or do you just have to look at solutions and try to reverse engineer them and ask questions?
