i want to know wher and how i can assess documentation understanding? and also i want step by step process to do hr onboarding automation

For the second half of your question , the onboarding process of every organization differs, to give a solution plan need more details regarding the steps kind of PDD (Process Definition Document),if you could provide any particular step I can help you with an appropriate approach.
