Maestro seems to offer modelling, monitoring, and optimization features that sound similar to what Orchestrator and other UiPath tools already provide. Can someone clarify the unique value proposition of Maestro in comparison to Orchestrator?
or
I rephrase my question like:
We’ve been using UiPath Orchestrator to manage our automations effectively. What are the key strategic or technical reasons to adopt Maestro, especially when Orchestrator already supports scheduling, monitoring, and managing robots*
Welcome to the community
you are partially correct.Few mix..but maestro is not for managing and all..its more for designing enterprise wide solutions easily..yes these can be done with traditional RPA and feels like extension of long running workflows as well
but here the layer of business model and the tech is clearly seggregated and this provides integration with larger processes easy and few features like the full tracebility , pause and start, restart from where left, and support of bpmn makes it stand out a little
When you consider end to end process then ideally you can visualize and run the processes easily
cheers
I would be more excited if I wasn’t expecting Maestro to be yet another service that has some credit system or surcharge on top of all the licensing we already pay for
UiPath Maestro is not just about running bots — it’s about creating a multi-agent architecture where processes and API integrations can work together, even with connections to multiple channels.
It’s very helpful when you want modular, AI-driven automation. You can scale easily, update parts without breaking the whole process, and make your automation more intelligent and future-ready.
From a data perspective, it also supports bidirectional flow to and from databases.
So, if you’re thinking long-term, Maestro adds real value beyond Orchestrator.
I think you have missed the comment, that all of this has already been possible without Maestro, Long running workflows have been in UiPath for several years and a BPMN type canvas specifically for this which has some more features than Maestro was released for UiPath Studio last year to extend those capabilities further.
There is fair reason to question the added value here as the product really needs to mature alot, so far it mostly just adds a heatmap, visual representation of where a process is during execution and being able to start a failed process again from the fail point, editing the variables.
Given the large amount of trade offs, and limited functionality that Maestro cannot yet do, its important feedback to share that the value is not seen there yet so the product can grow to the point it is great.
