Unable to clone the GIT repository

Hi All ,
i have a project for which i had checked in the code some one month before. after that some one else continued the development and he has checked in code in the same repo many time. now i want the latest code from the repository . but when i try to clone it it is giving me following error as in circled it. saying its a non empty directory. and of course the directory is non empty because i have an out dated code. i am not able to understand how to solve this ?
