UiPath threw an exception "libgit2sharp.core.nativemethods" while trying to clone a repository from Bitbucket

UiPath threw an exception “libgit2sharp.core.nativemethods” while trying to clone a repository from Bitbucket.

This seems to be some related to the pre-requisite setup for UiPath. Because on the same machine, I am able to clone the code using GitHub Desktop and Sourcetree.

This is a new EC2 machine, so suspect something related to software requirements for UiPath. I have installed the latest version of .net installed & GIT, but not sure if something else needs to be installed.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I am having a similar issue. I am unable to perform any Git functions via UiPath. Git Init and Git Clone options all result in the same error:

I have performed multiple installs of different versions of Uipath 2019 and 2020. I’m still facing this issue.
