UiPath Excel application Scope issue

Whenever I am trying to read large file with Excel application scope this issue is coming:

Use Excel File: Error opening workbook. If Excel is installed, run the ‘Repair Tool for Microsoft Office Interop’ from the Tools tab on the Home screen.

try with work book activities

check whether Microsoft Excel is installed on the computer where you’re running the Excel Application Scope. If it’s not installed, you won’t be able to use the Excel Application Scope activity.

First, make sure that Microsoft Excel is installed on the computer where you’re running the Excel Application Scope. If it’s not installed, you won’t be able to use the Excel Application Scope activity.
Ensure that your Microsoft Office installation is up to date. Outdated versions of Office can sometimes cause compatibility issues with other software.

Hi @Arti_Yadav ,

Does this occur only on large Excel files or does it happen on any file? What version Excel package are you using? Were you able to use the Repair tool?

Just checking in here if we can help you further with this issue. My advice would be to check the Repair Tool for Microsoft Office from the Tools tab and if you’re still encountering issues, would you be able to share with us:

  • What version of the Excel package are you using
  • Are you able to Indicate in Excel using the activities
  • Does this happen on all files or only on large files? How large are the files?
