PDF opening problem

Hi,

I am able to launch pdf using start process but the problem is that my pdf is blinking at the task bar and then i have to again click on the pdf in the task bar then it is opening.
Please let me know how to open it directly or do i need to select anything so that it directly gets open in screen.

Hi,
You can achieve this by following activity.

  • Open application
  • Restore window

Use Open application activity and create output window variable (hit ctl+k and name the variable) which can be passed as input to Restore window activity.

PS: you can do with start process too, post to that you need to use Attach window activity and pass the appropriate selector and rest is same.

i am able to open now but i am stuck in one thing i have loaded for pdf files at a particular path and i want to read invoice number one by one so i have used for loop and inside for loop i have used anchor activity find element and get ocr text but after fetching one loop its getting failed since the other pdf invoice number is written as invoice no.

Looks like your doing acme test assignment. :wink:
I don’t think opening pdf and doing scraping is reliable method,you could try using read pdf activity and do string manipulation.you can use regex pattern. check this.

Thanks for your help i tried to extract invoice data from txt file but it seems i am not able to extract data or there is some issue with my RegExpression code as you can see below
invoice\s((no|number)&\s)?\d{4,}
The above code i have written to extract data from text file. i am attaching you the dummy text file below.
i want to extract data only from invoice # and sometimes it can be invoice no or invoice number.
