How Do You Remove a Machine From a OnPrem Host Template in Orchestrator

We have a host template in Orchestrator that has six OnPrem VM’s assigned to it.

Template Name: Base_Template
VM’s assigned to template: PMACHINE01, PMACHINE02, . . . PMACHINE06.

One of the machines encountered an issue where it had un-joined from our domain. We followed all the steps/tips/suggestions for getting it rejoined. That was successful, however, when we tried to execute a process on it, it faulted immediately with the following message:

Could not start executor. Logon failed for user AAA\V-USR01. Reason: ERROR_TRUSTED_RELATIONSHIP_FAILURE=ERROR_TRUSTED_RELATIONSHIP_FAILURE=0x000006FD : The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed.

We couldn’t resolve this issue, so as a workaround, we renamed the server to PMACHINE07, rejoined the domain again and transferred the UiPath license from 06 to 07. This resolved the domain issue and we could again run processes on it as 07.

When looking at our licenses, we see all seven machines now, including PMACHINE06, which technically no longer exists. It’s listed as unlicensed.

My question is this: how do we remove PMACHINE06 from the host template, Base_Template, and how can we remove it from the list of machines on the License page within Orchestrator > Tenant?

Thank you for any help and guidance.

James

Hi @Tyree_James,

I understand that you no longer want to use Pmachjne6 as you have already setup the number 7 machine.

So,How about you remove all references of Pmachine6 altogether from orchestrator?

Like from machines/templates/folders everywhere?

Regards
Sonali

Hello @sonaliaggarwal47, thank you for the response. You are correct, I do wish to remove Pmachine6, but I don’t know where that would be done.

When I connect to Orchestrator > Tenant > Machines, I see all of the machines our organization uses. Pmachine6 doesn’t appear in this list, but Base_Template does and it’s of type Template. So I am not able to remove it from this area.

When I navigate to Orchestrator > Tenant > License, I see that 100% of my licenses are in use. When I click the “See More” link, I can see all seven of the VMs that are members of the Base_Template template: Pmachine1 … Pmachine7. On this screen, I can see that Pmachine6 is listed as Unlicensed status, but there is no option to remove/delete it here.

I need to remove Pmachine6 from Base_Template so it no longers appears in the License screen as well, but I cannot find anywhere within the Tenant menu options that gives me that ability.

Thank you,
James

if you have a URL with self-signed ssl certificate, then make sure your orchestrator’s SSL certificate is installed on PMACHINE07, as UiPath require SSL certificate to execute seculy with robot

Hello @chandreshsinh.jadeja, thank you for your response.

I’m trying to remove PMACHINE06 from Orchestrator.

What is the version of your orchestrator?

We’re using the Cloud version of Orchestrator, so I’m not sure how/where to get the version number. Where would that be displayed?

We use version 24.10.1 of Studio.

Have you completed these steps?
Tenant > Machines > Locate Base_Template, and click the three dots.

  • Remove PMACHINE06 from the list, then save the modifications.
