The ‘Generate Address’ activity from the UiPath.Testing.Activies package has an invalid postcode for the UK.
The automation attempted to use ‘L2 OQD’ but this is invalid, it may be a typo as ‘L2 0QD’ is a valid postcode. Correct UK postcode format will never allow a letter to be the first character in the 2nd part.
What the automation inputted:
Welcome to the community
There might be some invaalid codes..typo might not be the issue..try to print the value and check to verify if its a type of generated the same way
cheers
Thanks Anil but I don’t think that’s the solution.
Due to the random generation of addresses it will be difficult to verify the output via print, what I can confirm via copy and paste of what UiPath is the value of: ‘L2 OQD’ which is an invalid postcode as opposed to the valid postcode of ‘L2 0QD’
@seb.price-thomas Looks like the issue is coming from the postcode generated by the Generate Address activity.
For UK postcodes, the second part should always start with a number followed by two letters (like 1AA). In your case, “L2 OQD” is invalid because it starts with a letter.
You can handle this in a couple of ways:
-
Override the postcode after generation with a valid UK format
-
Or use your own test data (like from a queue/CSV) instead of the auto-generated one
