Context Grounding is GA!

:rocket:Context Grounding is Now Generally Available :rocket:

What’s Context Grounding?
Context Grounding is designed to support UiPath GenAI experiences by grounding your prompts with relevant information to support more precise and accurate LLM generations (R.A.G.).

We’re excited to announce that Context Grounding is now officially GA!

What’s new?
Now available for use with Autopilot for Everyone as a data source to support retrieving relevant information for end user Q&A.

New UI and Notifications for Index Management and Governance

  • Now available as part of the AI Trust Layer admin panel experience in UiPath cloud, there is a Context Grounding area to create new, sync data to, or delete indexes.
  • This will also provide new index visibility: the data source type and location, embedding freshness, and when it was last queried.
  • Notifications will now be produced in Notification Service when an ingestion job has started, completed, and/or failed.

HIPAA Compliance

  • Context Grounding is now HIPAA compliant. This means the service can support healthcare and life sciences automation use-cases with documents that may contain Personal Health Information such as medical record summarization, ICD code matching, and claims processing.

New Advanced R.A.G. Techniques

  • Multiple extraction methods to preserve the integrity of the ingested document
  • Topical chunking to better preserve context and ensure more relevant, efficient retrievals
  • Semantic (vector), hybrid, contextual, and query tethering search algorithms to handle the most complex, high volume queries

Support for Integration Service Connections

  • Context Grounding will now support direct ingestion and querying of data in major document repositories - to preserve data governance and version control.
  • Supported IS Connections are Microsoft OneDrive Sharepoint and Google Drive

Expanded Data Format Support
pdf, csv, json, docx, xls, and txt are all now supported

New Permissions Model

  • Context Grounding now supports folder-level permissions within tenants. This granular access control allows enterprises to more precisely manage information access across different teams and departments. It enhances data security and compliance by ensuring sensitive information is only accessible to authorized personnel.

Additional updates to support enterprise production environments

  • Multi-geo support (now hosted in US, EU, and Japan), HA/DR, Data Migration and Deletion controls, Alerting, Security tests

Updates in “GenAI Activities"

  • Index and Ingest Activity:
    • This activity will be modified and renamed to ‘Update Context Grounding Index’ to now only perform data sync operations with the index and the data source. It will no longer be able to create new indexes.
    • Existing workflows with a Public Preview version of the activity will continue to work, but we strongly recommend migrating towards using the new UI experience in the AI Trust Layer admin panel.
  • Delete Index Activity:
    • This activity will be removed as the functionality has been replaced within the new UI in the AI Trust Layer admin panel.

When I try to use Update Context grounding I am getting an exception.
The index was created to get data from a Google Drive location
