Choose a value from a list item by passing a variable name

Hi,
I am performing a POC, where I have a value stored in a variable, my requirement is to assign this value to a list item. I am trying to use Type in activity and using the variable not able to see the value getting assigned. wanted to check if there any specific activities to use. I am using Menu list item, looks it is not correct.
