Hi Guys,
This was a post I wanted to reply much before but haven’t really found time to do it.
By essence the BA will be closely connected to the operation/business side so it will give him good exposure across all the company, assuming he/she is working for more than one business service.
We often see BA evolving as either (non-technical) Consultant, which a similar attribution but more oriented in “enabling” the change rather than translating Business needs into requirements.
I also have seen automation manager (managing the team including developer, BA) coming from a business analysis experience.
Mostly the BA can have open later all non technical roles within an RPA CoE (or other model) such as Sponsor, Champion or Change manager (see link bellow). That will depend how successful he/she is and how he plays his cards, once again the exposure he will have during his numerous projects will be helpful to achieve this
Hope this somehow helped you, Note however that I am not a BA and rather focus on the technical aspect of the CoE.
Cheers
