How can I design a UiPath-based API that takes a JSON string as input and generates an image based on the data within the JSON? What are the best approaches and activities in UiPath for implementing this? Additionally, is there any free platform or source where I can test this solution end-to-end?
What kind of image do you need: a chart/template populated from JSON, or an AI-generated picture? Those need different rendering services.
In either case, the UiPath part can validate the JSON, call the renderer through HTTP, then return an image ID or download URL in the Response activity. For longer generation jobs, return a request ID and provide a separate status lookup rather than holding the request open. You can test the mapping with Studio Web’s Debug configuration and a mock JSON response first; an image provider’s free allowance would need checking separately.
