Have any UiPath users implemented any agentic automation solutions that could not have been accomplished with preexisting tools and technology at the organization you work at?
I am interested in proposing ideas for agentic automation to my organization, however, every idea that we have come across so far could be solved with traditional automation tools in a similar fashion and a fraction of the price. I’m very open to ideas though, as I think it could really benefit us to gain experience in implementing LLM-based solutions. We just need inspiration for use-case that justifies the high costs.
agentic automation is mainly useful when a process requires multi‑step decision‑making, dynamic reasoning, or working across unstructured data and multiple systems, which traditional RPA cannot reliably handle. UiPath highlights agentic use cases such as complex case orchestration, unstructured document handling without templates, contextual ticket classification, and autonomous error correction, where agents reason and adapt rather than follow fixed rules.
I’m looking for something more akin to a customer testimonial. I know how UiPath is marketing these products, but I want to see input from users who actually have made the investment into them. I’m not interested in theoretical or proof-of-concept use-cases that are being used by UiPath to sell the product.
It is easy for UiPath to talk about they could be useful for. It is entirely different to be a UiPath customer who actually took the risk to invest in this technology and build some sort of automation solution.
You could check out the Use Case repository here on the Community Forum.
They are in theory from all of us users - perhaps you can find something relatable there.
I’d be curious as to how many of these are actually live and being used in a production environment. And if they were successful in achieving a ROI, considering the costs of development and ongoing deployment.
