Choice of plan does not guarantee the applicant’s participation in the plan NO CHANGES allowed once selected and approved by the Company Page 1of 11 TMC/AF/Jan2020T-Marine Corp: Scheme Features, Terms & Conditions Definitions The following expressions shall have their meanings as defined and will be applicable to all usages in documents and materials relating to T-Marine Corp Scheme: Word / Expression Meaning “Scheme” T-Marine Corp Scheme (TMC) “Company” Tokio Marine Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad (TMLM) “Participant” or “Participants” Agent or Agents who is/are participating in the T-Marine Corp Scheme “BD staff” Business development staff who includes Regional Manager (RM), Business Development Manager / Executive (BDM/BDE) “NCB” Non-Commissionable Block of Business 1. Scheme Features The Scheme provides monthly allowances to participants in the first twelve (12) months of his/her joining the Scheme, subject to his/her meeting the specified performance requirements in Clause 5.6 below. Applicant’s Requirements a. Pre-entry production requirement: Minimum of RM5,000 AFYP (within 90 days of application) or higher production requirements as determined by the Company from time to time b. Ages: 21 to 45 years old c. Passed both PCEIA and CEILLI examinations d. NEW AGENTS appointed on or after 1 January, 2019 e. Upon approval of applications, Participants of the Scheme must: i. attend a compulsory pre T-Marine Corp residential training, and ii. become FULL TIME agents ie. agents who do not hold any salaried job elsewhere or earn commissions from providing sales or services other than securing life insurance businesses for the Company; iii. submit proof of resignation if he/she is under employment prior to the application or upon the approval of this application Page 2of 11 TMC/AF/Jan2020f. Immediate family members of recruiting Agency Leaders are not eligible for the Scheme (i.e. parents, spouse, siblings and children). g. All applicants will be interviewed by the Business Development staff or any interviewer appointed by the Company. 3. Policy Plans allowed under the Scheme The Company has a suite of investment-linked plans to meet the savings and protection needs of consumers. It comes with a range of supplementary riders offering protection against medical, critical illnesses, accidents, etc. For the purpose of T-Marine Corp, only Regular Premium Investment-linked (RPIL) plans and TokioMarine Optimizer (TMO) will be taken into account for the Scheme qualification and allowances payment. However, only TokioMarine-iLifeSecure (TMiLS), TokioMarine-iLady (TMiL) and TokioMarine-iBig 20- pay (TMiB) and Cancer Shield Plus 20-pay (CSP) plans will be counted for NCB (see Note 4 below) production requirement. The Company may replace the above policy plans or approve any other plans deemed suitable for inclusion into the NCB or allowances production qualification. 4. Non-Commissionable Block of Business (NCB) The Non-Commissionable Block of Business (NCB) is that block of TMiLS2, TMiL, TMiB2.20 and CSP.20 life policies sold by the Participants within the initial six months period or lesser where the Participants will not receive the basic and renewal commissions for six (6) years. This includes excesses of production upon the confirmation of NCB achievement date. Eg. If the NCB production requirement of RM30,000 AFYP is achieved on 15th of a month with a total cumulative production of RM32,000 AFYP, the excess of RM2,000 AFYP will not be paid the basic and renewal commissions. The Participants will be paid monthly allowances upon meeting the monthly or cumulative performance requirements. The Participants are entitled to the basic and renewal commissions as specified in the Standard Agency Agreement on all life businesses secured in the period following the fulfillment of the production requirement of NCB. All policies other than NCB related policies sold within the NCB period will be paid the basic and renewal commissions even if the NCB performance requirements were not fulfilled. NCB productions are counted for all contests unless otherwise specifically excluded. Leaders are entitled to the overriding commissions of all policies secured under NCB requirements. Performance Requirements 5.1 Compulsory T-Marine Corp Trainings The Participant must attend the T-Marine Corp trainings with follow-up and follow-through programs organized by Tokio Marine Training & Development Academy (TMTDA) and all trainings or activities deemed ‘compulsory’. Absence regardless of reasons for 3 times in Year 1 will exit the participant from the Scheme. 5.2 Other Trainings & Activities The Participant is required to: i. attend agency leader’s meetings; ii. attend product and sales trainings conducted at the branch; iii. report/update all planned and actual sales activities to BD staff on monthly or other intervals as required by the Company. 5.3 Monthly Performances The Participant’s performance will be reviewed at the end of each month to ascertain the achievement of the following performance requirements: i. Monthly and YTD Production including NCB by AFYP; ii. Monthly and YTD Production by number of cases or a minimum of one case to stay in the Scheme; iii. Monthly retention ratio of 90%; Payment of monthly allowances will only be made upon achieving ALL monthly OR YTD productions, cases (including minimum of 1 case monthly) and retention ratio. The Participant is allowed to catch up on the shortfall if he/she fails to meet any of the monthly performance requirements. In the event that the shortfall in the previous month and the Year-To-Date (YTD) requirements are fully achieved, the Participant will be paid the current and the previous’ months allowances. However, if the current month’s performance requirements are achieved without fulfilling YTD, the Participant will be paid the current month’s allowance only.
