Where there is a skill gap (more than 0), the cell will be highlighted in red.

As for how the gap is calculated, it follows the table below:
1 - Foundational
2 - Intermediate
3 - Advanced
4 - Expert
5 - Master

"Recommended courses for current level" shows the list of courses that are recommended for the current level.

"Recommended courses for next level" shows the list of courses that are recommended for the next level, when you 
have finished the courses for the next level.
