User is getting a Windows Security popup to login when running an attended bot. Bot previously worked fine and never had this popup before. User recently upgraded from Windows 10 to 11. Their normal Windows password doesn’t work when they enter it. Bot is run in PiP.
Hi @m_hall
Can you check at what point in your workflow this pop up shows up?
When you try to access some url?
If yes, can you try accessing that url manually first and see if pop up shows up. If it does, try giving username password and sign in
it mostly just reads file on user C drive. Gets files from a shared drive but user says they can access that and it doesn’t request to login. Then it uses SAP to process the files but fails before that.
please check this guide and limitations
may be after upgrade something would have changed which might be causing this
cheers
Another option might be to use PIP - Virtual Desktop instead of Session.
Does the user need to be an admin of their computer to run PiP? When she puts in her windows password it says login attempt failed.
PiP is enabled and will run as New Desktop. Need Child Session to monitor process.
Sign in with password, no finger print.
Generally pip gets creds from windows cred manager can you check iftge creds are correct
Cheers
I hope I’m right, that the PIP is a RDP session. So the bot user (Lori) must be part of the RemoteDesktopUsers. Can you show the members of that local group?
@m_hall were u able to find solution
No it worked when we made her an admin but we cant have her stay an admin. And it always ask for her to sign in.
Hi @m_hall
Are you on enterprise version?
If yes, I would suggest raising a support ticket to UiPath to help resolve this issue.
