Windows AppLocker feature impacts UiPath Terminal (and probably other packages)

Scenario: Use UiPath on a secured Windows 7 environment

Steps to reproduce: Be sure to have AppLocker configured to allow executables only on usual windows directories : /program files /windows…

Current Behavior: UiPath cannot run terminal

Expected Behavior: UiPath can run terminal

Studio/Robot/Orchestrator Version: Any (we are up to date 2017-09-xx)

Last stable behavior: n/a
Last stable version: n/a
OS Version: Windows 7 Enterprise x64
Others if Relevant: (workflow, logs, .net version, service pack, etc):
When UiPath runs a workflow using a terminal (IBM Personal Communications), UiPath create executables here :
C:\Users*HeyIt’same*!Mario*\AppData\Local\Temp\nuget\UiPath.Terminal.Activities.1.1.6464.20815\lib\net45*

Of course AppLocker locks UiPath.Terminal.Host.exe it’s it job.
So we have created a rule to allow execution of this .exe. But this rule won’t work anytime because of :

  • Élément Terminal package update

  • Élément Another user logs on windows and want to run the workflow. UiPath will create another subdirectory on users \AppData.

So please execute UiPath.Terminal.Host.exe on UiPath installation folder and don’t replicate .exe and .dll on user subfolders.

Kind regards,
FA. HUET.
