The selected value it should be selecting is “Cost Center”, but for some reason it’s selecting “ERP Audit Information for Cost Center”. Any idea of what I can do to correct this behavior?
Try to add accuracy field and increase accuract and check
also while indicating initially indicate the actual cost center..may be the achors you used might change..so it might click else where
play with accuracy and anchors ..try with clear anchors and whihc dont change
just add Accuracy:0.7 cange number as you need
cheers
Because “ERP Audit Information for Cost Center” includes the text “Cost Center” and CV isn’t very reliable in these situations.
Also, you don’t need to be using the CV activities. The modern activities have CV built in, you should be using those. Just use the Select activity and set the selector as CV. No need for the CV Screen Scope and CV activities.
Is CV really necessary here? Are you automating in a Citrix/RDP window?
Anchors don’t work well with CV. It doesn’t take into account proximity, in my experience.
Increasing the accuracy for actual field can effect the way it works as well
and anchor accuracy can be set to low for anchors which might exist or no…so that might help..
These worked in few instances..
cheers
By the way, in most pulldowns you can type the text of the item you want to select, then press enter. So you might try that instead of the Select activity - do a click, then a type into with enter on the end.
@Anil_G Accuracy:0.7 didn’t work. I will go with the regular activities. I like CV because it seems to be cleaner when creating automations, but I guess it’s not reliable in situations like this. I don’t understand why it can’t lock on an exact value. Maybe something that will be fixed in the future. @postwick
Because the value you’re looking for exists in multiple places on the screen.
You should not be using CV unless you’re automating in a Citrix/RDP window (and can’t install the necessary plugins on the Citrix/RDP server).
Otherwise there are a ton of features of regular selectors that make sure your automation is reliable and accurate, and you’re losing all those things by trying to use CV.
