The UiPath MCP Server is not visible in the Agent MCP Tool section, whereas other MCP types (Coded, Command, and Remote MCP Servers) are displayed correctly. Please advise on the reason for this behavior and any required setup steps.

Hi @amol.bamane
The MCP Server won’t appear in the Agent MCP Tool if it isn’t running or registered. Start the server, manually add/register it in the Agent, and ensure network access and permissions are correct.
Hi Mona,
I have created all MCP servers and I am trying to add UiPath MCP Server in tools of agent but not show the UiPath MCP Server. While Coded, Command, and Remote MCP Servers I can see. Could you please help me on this?
Let me know if any additional information needed
Thanks & Regards,
Amol
This happens when the UiPath MCP Server is not running or not properly registered with the Agent. Please ensure the UiPath MCP Server service is started, registration is completed, and the Agent has the required permissions and network access. Also check version compatibility between the Agent and the UiPath MCP Server. Once these are in place, it should appear in the Agent MCP Tool list.
Hi Monali,
Could you please help us with a detailed explanation of how to install the UiPath MCP Server and register it with the UiPath Agent?
It would be a great help if you could share the step-by-step process, including any prerequisites, installer settings, and configuration details required for successful setup and registration.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Sagar

one quick question if the process is already in UiPath environment why do you want to expose as mcp and then connect to agent?
ideally you can add the process itself as a tool
cheers
Hi Anil,
We are currently exploring all types of MCP Servers. While testing the UiPath MCP Server, we encountered an issue where the UiPath MCP Server is not appearing in the Agent MCP Tools section within UiPath.
Could you please help us investigate this problem and guide us on how to make the UiPath MCP Server visible in the Agent MCP Tool list?
Thanks,
Amol
As mentioned the tool is exposed for external interactions via the url you get when you create the mcp
Here already in agent builder you have the same processes exposed as mcp directly available as process only ..so why would you need that even? Because its in same environment already
You created the mcp server but you have to add it back to same env which does not make any help right..instead use the process as is
Cheers
UiPath MCP Server does not need to be installed or registered manually. It is cloud-managed and appears automatically in the Agent only when the UiPath Agent version, tenant, and permissions support it. If it’s not visible while other MCP types are, it usually means the Agent is outdated, the tenant/org is not enabled for UiPath MCP, the Agent is signed into the wrong tenant, or policies/network restrictions are blocking it. Upgrading the Agent and verifying tenant enablement usually resolves it.
@amol.bamane The MCP Server option may not appear in the Agent MCP Tool section if the MCP server hasn’t been started or registered properly. Make sure the MCP server process is running and has been properly published/deployed. Also verify that you’re using a compatible version of UiPath that supports the MCP Server type in Agent Builder — this feature may require a specific minimum version. Check that the MCP server is exposed as an Agentic Process and that it’s been added to the correct tenant/folder. If all of that is in order, try restarting Studio and the Agent Builder to refresh the available tools list.
Hi John,
As you mentioned that MCP Server option may not appear in the Agent MCP Tool section if the MCP server hasn’t been started or registered properly.
So now we want to know, how we can register properly, so UiPath type MCP server also visible in Agent tool section, rest other (Coded, Command and Remote) are working properly and visible in agent tool section. We are phasing issue with only UiPath type MCP Server.
Please explain in detail with steps , how to register properly.
Thanks and Regards
