Aren’t both using the same account? I can go into Orchestrator and create/edit Assets, but when I run an automation in Studio and try to Set Asset I get the “forbidden” error. Yes, Studio is connected to the same folder the Asset is in, I can Get Asset just fine for the same Asset.
Hi @postwick ,
I haven’t tried this yet but after going through the docs there is a prerequisite where you have to assign the Robot Role with Edit permission to Assets in order to edit it with the Set Asset Activity.
Could you give that a try?
Kind Regards,

Again, I can edit assets when I log into Orchestrator. But under the same account, I can’t edit them with Set Asset. This makes no sense to me. I’m the same user in both cases. Is Orchestrator login vs running job attended some sort of different context?
Why would I be able to edit assets when I log into Orchestrator, but not from the Set Asset activity in Studio? Are these two authentications a different context? I thought both are using the same account.
Hey @postwick
Yep, I think only you can confirm that please…
The user through which you login to orchestrator does that have the robot configuration enabled or you created a separate robot user and connected with that user in Assistant ?
Thanks

I don’t know the answer to this. But it sounds like the right track. We have also been through multiple upgrades so maybe that has fouled things up.
HI @postwick - Would you mind to share the screenshot of your user settings and robot settings from Orchestrator Ui?
Unfortunately I cannot. However, adding the permission to the Robot role worked. Still not sure why there is a difference in my permissions between Orchestrator and Studio.
Hey @postwick
There are two things here,
If you have a user account with robot access enabled, and you connect your machine now to orchestrator using machine key or interactive sign-in. It will just replicate the roles of the user account from which you have connected the robot most probably it’s your user.
Now coming to the second scenario, You would have configured a separate robot user with which you will be connecting your studio or robot which will obviously replicate the roles of that particular robot user account instead of your user.
Hope this helps,
Thanks

@postwick Please Navigate to Tenant->Manage access ->Assign Roles. Check whether the account is having all the required access granted. If you are using the same user account with Robot access, you should able to modify using Set Asset activity.
